Maeve is a 3-year-old, 38-lb female Carolina Dog mix with a striking golden, red/chestnut/orange coat, currently in Sanford, NC. This medium-sized, short-coated pup is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained—she’s ready for her forever home!
Maeve’s Story
Maeve, affectionately dubbed a “chicken nugget, full-body wiggly, muscled meatball,” is a bundle of joy rescued by her organization. After a month of weekly training with a professional trainer, she’s in a great spot to find her perfect family, thanks to her smarts and eagerness to please.
Maeve’s Personality
Maeve is a lively and loving companion:
Athletic and Playful: Full of energy, she loves fetch, car rides, and zooming around with a toy in her mouth, snorting with excitement.
Friendly and Funny: Gets along with other dogs (with slow intros) and children, sporting radar ears that catch everything, though she’s not much of a barker.
Smart and Trainable: Excels in training, with a discounted package offered by her trainer for adopters to continue her progress.
Confident but Patient: Working on public confidence, she needs a patient owner to help her thrive.
The Perfect Home for Maeve
Maeve needs an active home ready for adventures like car rides and fetch, with space for her energy bursts followed by well-deserved snoozes. A family comfortable with slow dog introductions and willing to continue training will bring out her best.
